Heiko V´s comment on TripAdvisor:
“We booked the mangrove tour and it was one of the best experiences of our entire stay in Costa Rica. Many thanks to Claudia; she helped us with our language problems and gave us valuable advice. If we visit Costa Rica again, we will definitely take another boat tour with Kokopelli Tours.”
Sierpe in Costa Rica is the gateway to the largest virgin mangrove forests in Central America and shelter to countless species of birds and other wildlife.
The village is peaceful and authentic, located at the banks of the river by the same name. From here, we start all our tours.
Whether you choose mangrove wildlife or an enchanting mangrove forest tour, an exciting crocodile night tour or a visit to the magic Violin Island, your footprint on nature will have a minimal impact while you admire nature at its best. Most of our tours are private and away from the crowds.
You will be delighted to observe the variety and abundance of wildlife and bird species. Squirrel, howler, and cappuccino monkeys, huge crocodiles and caimans, blue herons, ibis, and ara macaws are often spotted. The natural beauty of the Sierpe River and the mangrove channels are breathtaking; the mangrove forest is hallucinating, and Violin Island´s isolated beaches are filled with spectacular charm.
In Kokopelli, we do our best to provide your group with an unforgettable experience. We can show you some places that even the local people have never seen before...
Just go for it!
