Plasmage new non-surgical rejuvenation
Author: Dr. Monica Alfaro
Plasmage is the brand name of the fractional plasma treatment that uses plasma energy from the fourth state of matter. The application of this plasma energy to the skin produces evaporation of the lesion. The ionization of the air leads to a sublimation of the tissues and the contraction of the skin.
Also, there is a stimulus to the production of collagen and the tensioning or lifting of the treated area. A technique of puncturing is used that will have a regeneration effect, creating new tissue.
It was created for the non-surgical treatment of both the upper and lower eyelids. With good results, it is used to rejuvenate the contour of the mouth, the smoker's lips, puppet lines, and nasolabial grooves, "crow's feet", active acne such as acne scars, stretch marks, rejuvenation of the neckline or hands. Also, to remove spots, angiomas or vein heads, and xanthelasmas or warts. Another option for its use is the treatment of surgical scars.
The effects of the treatment are visible for 3 to 5 days and present as mild redness and punctate scabs that flake off in a few days. Soothing products are recommended to use the days after treatment, as well as to protect yourself from the sun to avoid visible long-term effects such as hyperpigmentation. After the treatment, the skin is very receptive, so the use of these products is of great importance. The benefits of treatment are visible after one week and continue improving for 6 to 8 weeks. Some people require more than one session to tighten the skin or reduce wrinkles to the desired level.
The application of this energy is given by an electric shock approaching the electrode to the skin, without touching it, which allows treating the skin in a controlled manner without damaging the basal cell layer.
Plasmage has revolutionized aesthetic medicine by offering new non-surgical treatment options. This new technology, like many others, is available in Costa Ballena.
