Increasing the Beauty of Uvita

beauty-uvita-3One of the working committees of the Chamber of Tourism of Costa Ballena (CACOBA), directed by Pilar Dailinger, is focusing on increasing the beauty of Uvita, now an emerging center of commerce and banking in the South Pacific.

In collaboration with MOPT, CostaRicaTeEnamora, el hotel Kura, Jason y Blake, trees were planted that one day will give shade to our downtown. CONAVI marked the Coastal Highway and installed new traffic signs. The Integral Development Association of Uvita together with a North American organization that works with geospatial technology helped to detect and eliminate the points of origin of garbage using GPS. Local businesses such as Tito Surf School and Colonia Tours were thus motivated to clean the old traffic signs. The supermarket BM installed the first sheltered bus stop. Between all of us, we can polish the face of our small town. There are many more initiatives to come. Pura vida!
