Avid surfers waiting for their turn. Ranchos Remo Surf Competition – Playa Hermosa – Uvita – Costa Rica
Ranchos Remo, located on the heights of Playa Hermosa, decided to organize a surf tournament at HermOsa Beach, near to Uvita. The purpose of the event was to raise funds to equip the beach with lifeguards, and give additional support to the lifeguards in Dominical.
Very early in the morning, a crowd of avid surfers, and people from all over the area, started settling under the shade of the trees, in their comfortable hammocks. The vendors of fruit and ceviche, who came from Playa Hermosa village, were very happy with their sales.
The tournament was accentuated by the presence of highly qualified judges from the Caribbean of Costa Rica. They promised to return for the next event.

At the end of the tournament, the participating surfers had a free dinner at Ranchos Remo. The event had a musical background provided by Vladimir and his group Sin Vecinos. Friends and family enjoyed the awards ceremony, and contributed by purchasing the delicious grilled pork. The proceeds were donated in full to the Dominical lifeguards.
