Oscar does not speak nor hear; he has been deaf since childhood. In spite of it, He has developed outstanding manual abilities, for which he es well known. Currently, he works designing woven palm frond items, within minutes; he produced a fish by interlacing masterfully the green palm fronds.
He showed us his portfolio of figures and useful items such as hats and baskets. The drawings included in his portfolio represent only a small selection, in reality; he can weave more than 350 figures.

When I asked for the average life of the woven palm frond hat, he immediately wrote in my notebook, 2014-2015 and with a hand gesture, he indicated that it could be farther than that.
