All of our guides are Local (from the Costa Ballena Area), Certified by ICT (Costa Rican Tourism Board), along with hundreds of hours of other certifications and extremely passionate about what they do.
MANUEL MORA (“NEGO”): From Dominical, owner and Head of Maintenance. He is also the muscle of this company. He acts as a back up guide when necessary.
RACHEL WYROSTEK: From New York, Living in Costa Rica since 2006, now a Naturalized Citizen. Rachel guided for many years, but manages all the behinds the scenes activities.
DEYNER ARIAS (“JAPO”): Our Right Hand Man, from Playa Hermosa. He does all the “behind the scenes” work. Set up and break down of a tour, security for cars during the tour, cleaning the launch site, preparing the fruit, and also doing extra jobs for us all the time. An extremely hard worker who is a valuable asset to Pineapple Tours.
VICTOR DRIVER: From Dominical, our Head River Guide and “Bird Nerd”. He is extremely knowledgable of birds, animals, the eco system of the mangroves and many other topics. Victor has years of experience in tourism with credentials like working at Hacienda Baru.
MICHAEL CHEVEZ: From Bahia in Uvita, he is our Head Ocean Guide. He is extremely knowledgeable in marine life as well as birds and animals. He is one of the most sought after guides in the area, and is an excellent one for sure.
JOHEL RIOS ROJAS: From Uvita, at 16 years old, he is our novice assistant. He will one day be an excellent guide.For now, we hope to keep him out of trouble and lead him in the right direction to start a life in Tourism.
