You are over 40 and you speak perfect baby talk.
Your spouse has half the bed, and you and five dogs share the other half.
Your pets have more toys than you have shoes.
Your pants are completely covered with fur below the knee.
Your pets eat better food than you do.
You cook for your pets but not for yourself.
Your cat tells you when to get up.
Your dog tells you when to go for a walk.
Your vet bill is higher than your own health bill.
You plan your vacations around your pets’ schedule.
You get your pet groomed every month, and you go to the hairdresser every 6 months.
Your pet has a bed in every room of your house.
Your pet has a different collar for every day of the week.
Your pet has more outfits than you do.
Your pet has a Christmas stocking, an Easter basket, and a Halloween costume.
Your conversations all begin with: “You won’t believe what Bella did the other day.”
You know exactly what your dog’s poop looks like on any given day.
You think your pet is smarter than most of your friends.
You scoop poop, but pay someone else to clean your bathroom.
You have birthday parties for your pet, but can’t remember your children’s’ birthdays.
You allow any dog to pee on your tires, and encourage yours to sniff them when you return.
You have conversations with your pet, and believe they understand you.
You think you understand what they are saying when they “answer” you.
You think that paw prints on your clothing is a great fashion statement.
Your Facebook profile picture is your pet.
Your pets are in your will.
You donate, adopt, foster or volunteer for DAWG, helping us to improve the lives of the domestic animals, people, and wildlife of the Costa Ballena area.
