Steven and Rachel are the proud owners of Casitas Del Rio. This is a beautifully designed and relaxing river front development of luxury homes. The “casitas” are surrounded by lush gardens where wildlife makes frequent appearances. The river offers soothing sounds and enhances the peaceful environment providing the perfect place to unwind and relax.
The British TV program “Place in the Sun” (House Hunters International) found this property for them. They feel very much at home here, so much so that they have already become involved with the local “Uvita Pueblo Alegre” initiative.
Rachel was a British Offier who attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst equivalent to West Point in the U.S. She served 18 years. She was one of the fist female Artillery offiers around the world. Rachel retired as a Major.
For a period of 26 years, Steven was a Senior Warrant Officer in the British Army, responsible for Physical Training. When he joined the Australian Army, he served as a Rehabilitation Instructor. He was also the Regimental Boxing Champion and World Champion in the sport of powerlifting.
In 2012, he attended the International Butler Academy in Valkenberg Holland, and became 
a professional butler. Shortly after, he was employed by the world-famous Savoy Hotel in London, and worked directly for royalty, Hollywood stars, and politicians.
Both Rachel and Steven have earned active service medals in Iraq, Bosnia, Falkland Islands, and Northern Ireland. They are now enjoying the
pura vida lifestyle in Uvita.
