Peter Marschall, the son of a German father and a Hungarian mother, who also speaks English and Spanish, came to Costa Ballena in the South Pacific of Costa Rica, for the first time 5 years ago as a TV producer.
He had already made a name in Europe, as a movie producer for Latino Paprika Film, in Budapest.
While filming in Ballena, a hotel was totally booked for Peter and his camera crew. This time was enough for him to fall in love with Costa Ballena, where he found a very positive environment for investments. He met a young primary school teacher from Golfito, who made quite an impression on him for the way she interacted with children.
They got married and now live in Uvita with their 3 kids.
Peter, an excellent communicator and businessman, studied international economics, and learned from his past experiences, both positive and negative ones. The biggest lesson he’s learned, and the one he wants to share with his friends is: if you have money to share, do it!
The businesses that he has established around Uvita (15 minute-Uvita) are based on this concept, as well as on his will to contribute with local economic growth. Peter is skilled at doing business and planning great projects related to art, technology, nature, sports, health, and good nutrition.
Also, and for his own kids’ education, he’s creating a new school in Uvita, Kabe Academy; from Pre-K to International Baccalaureate, which will offer 25% of scholarships to children from low-income families.
Peter enjoys good company, traveling, sports, latino dance, and most of all, spending time with his family. As Peter states:
“Since it’s impossible to change the world, I decide to change my surroundings – everything is possible: we create our own universe, and I want my own community a better spot to be.”
