Crystal and her husband Michael are entrepreneurs from California; they are the owners of Patrón’s Bar and Restaurant in Dominical. In a very short time, they accomplished big changes in the recently acquired property, creating a small mall in the center of Dominical.
During the recent inauguration, the elegant restaurant, the VIP lounge, the bar, the coffee shop, the outside grill, and the patio were literally full to capacity with a classy crowd. 
Debi Nova performed her captivating show, generating a standing ovation from the public. Many of the guests came from the capital of San José and were very pleased with the sophisticated setting in this laid back little beach town.
Crystal, who speaks fluent Spanish, worked as an events’ organizer with the Marriott hotels chain in Utah. Before moving to Dominical, she lived in Cañas and worked with the Los Pumas Rescue Center. She has a passion for wild cats and used to breed Bengal cats in the States. Bengal cats are a hybrid between Asian leopard cats and domestic cats; they are adorable and compliant.
She also explained why Patron’s is so special: “Our chef has experience with Michelin star restaurants; it guarantees our menu will please the most refined palate; additionally, our staff is from Costa Ballena and, proudly provides excellent service to our customers.”
Her dream is to see her little son Calvin, still on her lap, becoming part of the community, “ticos and gringos” living in harmony.
Crystal shared her experience as an investor:“The locals became grateful to us for believing and investing in Dominical.” Crystal and Michael plan to have many good music events; at Patron’s; additionally, they intend to develop the second floor, setting up a spa, a gym, a hair salon, and a FedEx station.
There is a bright future in Dominical! Pura vida!
