The Horse Riding Commission of San Josecito deserves special recognition for the recent equestrian event held under the umbrella of the 2017 Summer Festival in Bahía - Uvita. 

Already last year, the commission began with the organization communicating with riders from all over the country and collecting prizes such as saddles, hotel nights and dinners in restaurants, even young steers with the breeders of the Southern Zone. 

For the big day, El Vivero La Bonita decorated the plaza around the ring.

A parade of 480 horsemen and ladies with their precious horses participated in the event. The exhibition in the ring, mostly of Costa Rican Paso Horses, was effusively applauded. 

The ride in the afternoon along the beach and the surroundings was somewhat wet as it began to rain which did not diminish the fun. The event was closed with a flourish: an International concert with José Julián from México and Henry Jiménez from San Carlos.

About 2,000 people attended the performance. An excellent job by the community of San Josecito!
