Celebrating the 15th anniversary, Costa Rica Free Digital Magazine #95
Dear audience, advertisers, and collaborators
This edition celebrates 15 years of uninterrupted publication of the best guide to Costa Ballena. In 2008, Ballena Tales was founded by Dagmar Reinhard (RIP), an immigrant from Germany who, like many of us, fell in love with this little piece of paradise in the South Pacific of Costa Rica.
Without a doubt, this magazine is a medium that has contributed during this decade and a half to making visible the attractions that our destination offers and promoting the offer of services both for tourism and for those who, like our founder, made this beautiful region their home.
Thanks to our collaborators who contribute valuable content and to the effort to improve our digital ecosystem day by day, both printed and digital publications have achieved a respectable position and a loyal audience that follows us from all over the planet. Our digital editions in English and Spanish have a global reach with tens of thousands of online readers. Our website receives around 400 unique visitors daily.
Regarding the printed editions, according to a study carried out in hotels, restaurants, pharmacies, offices, temporary rental houses, supermarkets, and others in previous years, the average readership is 2.3 local readers and 18 visitors per copy for approximately 142,000 total readings corresponding to the printing of seven thousand copies per year. Thank you again, dear audience, for giving us that privilege.
We love to share entertaining stories about experiences, gastronomy, craft markets, culture, community, animal rescue initiatives, events, and positive actions of various kinds.
In this issue, #95, we recommend you read the article on the Alturas Wildlife Rescue Sanctuary. They urgently need support to continue their important rescue and rehabilitation work, and it is worth joining this cause.
Authentic Costa Rica is another initiative worth highlighting. It is carried out by Karoline Magdalena, an immigrant from Poland who now resides in Dominicalito and has also fallen in love with Pura Vida.
The prosperity that foreign immigration has brought to the community is recognizable. In his article, Thomas Falk, a Swiss immigrant, owner of Falk Construction Consulting, and resident of Ojochal, praises the importance of local construction workers.
Don't miss out on the fantastic offer from the furniture and decor store RECHERCHÉ. In their store in the Coronado community, they have a beautiful range of items at incredibly discounted prices. This offer is an excellent opportunity for those who appreciate high-quality home, hotel, restaurant, or office decor.
The cover of this digital edition recalls the one published in the first edition. Since then, our editorial line has focused on exalting Costa Rica's South Pacific and defending the importance of achieving sustainable development for the destination.
As usual, we remind you, dear readers and residents, that taking care of our ecological footprint becomes more important every day. This is vitally important so that this beautiful and fragile paradise preserves its natural beauty.
Sharing the joy of this 15th anniversary, we invite you to enjoy this new edition.
