Storyline: When things went really-bad on Earth and there was fear of an alien invasion, a group of humans left on board a space ship to outer space. They were put to sleep, and finally; they crash landed on a planet. As it turns out, it was the same planet Earth; however, 325,000 years have passed, and the world is now a healthy and beautiful place with lush vegetation. Aliens are everywhere, and the successors of the humans are living in caves.

Director Thunder Levin (Asylum productions, a company dedicated to low budget productions) wrote and directed the film AE, which is short for Altos Exodus, and decided to film it on the green Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. The shooting took place at the caverns of Damas, near Quepos, and south of Jaco, at La Catarata in Uvita, and the Charter Restaurant with the big plane at Barú.

The lead actor is Adrian Paul, who is well known from The Highlanders and The Immortals, came from Los Angeles. In the States, he established his own charitable social network, raising funds for children in need attracting notable celebrities.

“On the 2nd day we ran into hornets,” he mentioned, “grasshoppers, snakes, scorpions, frogs, and monkeys. It is hot and humid. Sometimes we have trouble with the Internet and no cell phone signal.” Welcome to the jungle, Adrian!

He contracted Richard Grieco for the role of the spaceship’s captain; he is a musician (Waiting for the Sky to Fall) and famous TV actor (21 Jump Street). Richard’s latest film is Almighty T.

Bali Rodriguez is considered Costa Rican’s first model in the international fashion scene. She loves animals and is an environmentalist. In the movie, she plays “Lea” the beautiful humanoid with camouflage skin. The full-body makeup took 4-5 hours every day to get done and required extraordinary discipline from her. “While at four in the morning, everyone was still asleep, I had to have my makeup redone.”

Nancy Leopardi, the producer, told us that “AE premiere would be by mid Summer 2013,” both in the US and Costa Rican theaters. Best of luck and would love to watch the video here at the terrace of the Charter Restaurant.
